John and Julie Jobe have been BWM missionaries since October 1997. They started Lighthouse Baptist in Ipswich on February 17, 2002. The church now meets three times a week, and they hope to be averaging 25 people by year’s end. Their ministry includes a Sunday school for ages 2-8, a fellowship after the morning services (with refreshments), a Bible study and prayer time on Wednesday nights at the pastor’s home, and AWANA on Friday nights at Faith Baptist Church in Bromeswell. Their church supports one missionary, Sammy Perez in Malaga, Spain.
It is no secret that England, once at the center of great activity for Christ, has become in many ways a spiritual wasteland. The hearts of Englishmen are largely hardened against the Gospel. We know that the Jobes appreciate your prayers for them and for God’s Holy Spirit to do His work on the soil of those hearts. God is still in the business of saving souls!
